Nature Trail Workout

Ready for an exciting new exercise program? Something challenging and fun in the beautiful outdoors? Try Summit Fitness Training's Nature Trail Workout!

This circuit training type class incorporates:
· cardiovascular activities
· strength training
· traditional calisthenics
· balance and coordination training

Burn fat, increase your strength and improve your flexibility, all in one motivating workout!

Choose from one or more of the following one hour group sessions:

  • Monday - 7:00 am - Placerville
  • Tuesday - 4:00 pm - Placerville
  • Wednesday - 7:00 am - El Dorado Hills

$20 per workout - approximately $80 per month.

Requirements:
Ability to maintain a brisk walk for 30 minutes (approximately 2 miles); trail running shoes or athletic shoes with plenty of tread.

Locations:
The Monday and Tuesday classes meet in Placerville at the Smith Flat Trailhead on the El Dorado Trail.

The Wednesday class meets on the New York Creek Nature Trail in El Dorado Hills. We meet at the north end of the trail and park at Jackson Elementary School.

Come Prepared! Bring with you to class:

  • Bottle of water or a sports drink (you may wear a water belt)
  • Comfortable workout apparel and trail running shoes
  • Towel, you may keep in your car (if desired)
  • Waiver, Release and Assumption of Risk form (print, read and sign, first class only)
  • Plenty of energy and enthusiasm!!

NOTE: Some medical conditions require a doctor's clearance before working out. Medical confidentiality respected.

Poison Oak, rattlesnakes and other hazards may be present on the New York Creek Nature Trail.

 

Be sure that you read and understand the Waiver, Release and Assumption of Risk form before participating in this workout.

 

Trail workouts are taylored to your fitness level.
